Putt-putt golf is coming to Station North. A $35,000 National Endowment for the Arts grant was awarded Thursday to Station North Arts & Entertainment Inc. and the Maryland Institute College of Art to design a new mini-golf program that will be installed next spring in midtown near Penn Station. Under Armour Inc. and Adidas AG have reached an out-of-court settlement over the use of digital fitness patents. Terms of the settlement were confidential but Adidas, the German sports apparel corporation, said Thursday it includes payment from Baltimore-based Under Armour (NYSE: UA) for the use of some of its patents. In February 2014, Adidas sued Under Armour and MapMyFitness, the Austin, Texas, company started by Robin Thurston that was bought by Under Armour in December 2013 for $150 million. Six insurance carriers are seeing rate increases ranging from 12 percent to just under 30 percent for individual health plans sold in Maryland. The proposed rate increases would bring monthly premium prices for a mid-level plan for a 40-year-old Baltimore resident to between $264 and $414. The proposed rates are subject to review and approval by the Maryland Insurance Administration. The agency expects to release final rates late summer.
