A local high school lacrosse showcase will continue to be sponsored by PNC Financial Services Group Inc. after the company signed a three-year extension. The PNC Invitational is an annual showcase featuring four of the country’s top-ranked high school lacrosse teams from the mid-Atlantic. Johns Hopkins Hospital again tops this year’s List of area hospitals with the highest admissions. The East Baltimore hospital had a total of 859,123 admissions and outpatient visits in 2015. That’s up 30.6 percent from the 596,284 admissions and outpatient visits that Johns Hopkins saw in 2014. United Way of Central Maryland has named an executive at Greenpeace USA as its next CEO. Franklyn Baker will begin the role as president and CEO on Nov. 28, replacing Mark Furst, who stepped down in October after 12 years in the position. Baltimore-area home sales continued to increase last month, reaching an 10-year high for the month of October. At the same time, the median sales price increased 7.7 percent year-over-year to $253,000, the highest level for the month since 2007, according to data released Thursday by ShowingTime based on data from MRIS.
