Maryland ranks among the top 10 states in the U.S. for highest teacher pay, according to a new report. With an average teacher salary of $65,257, the state is No. 8 nationally, rankings from personal finance advisory site GOBankingRates show. Calico Industries Inc., a 94-year-old Annapolis Junction-based restaurant equipment and janitorial supplies distributor, has been acquired by a Mississippi investment firm. Calico hired Easton-based investment bank Equity Partners HG in November to facilitate a deal.
