Maryland added 100 jobs in November, keeping the state’s unemployment rate steady at 4.2 percent. The increase was boosted by 2,220 jobs in the leisure and hospitality sector and 1,100 in manufacturing, according to preliminary figures released Friday by the The U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics. A Pennsylvania real estate investment firm has acquired a student housing community located adjacent to the Johns Hopkins University campus for nearly $43 million. Newtown Square, Pa.-based GMH Capital Partners, acquired the 328-bed community located at 3700 N. Charles St. from H.B. Northway Limited Partnership and rebranded it as The Academy on Charles.
