The University of Maryland Medical System Foundation raised $700,000 to support advanced trauma training at its annual R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center Gala. The largest fundraiser of the year for the Shock Trauma, which is part of the system’s flagship University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, returned April 16 after being canceled last year in light of the city’s unrest.
