The United Way of Central Maryland has received $45,000 worth of donations from 360 donors since it established a relief fund for Ellicott City on Monday. Howard County Executive Allan Kittleman asked the United Way to set up the fund after flooding Saturday night killed two people and swept through the streets of the historic town, damaging dozens of homes and businesses.
