Tribune Publishing Board Chairman Michael Ferro late Wednesday essentially told Gannett to buzz off — at least for now. The rejection of Gannett’s all-cash bid of $815 million for the company, revealed as Tribune Publishing (NYSE; TPUB) released its first quarter 2016 earnings report, was not entirely a surprise.
