Macy's to close 100 stores

Department store giant Macy’s Inc. said Thursday that it’s closing 100 stores in an effort to overhaul its retail strategy. Macy’s (NYSE: M) will close a majority of those stores in early 2017, according to a news release. The locations of which stores will be closed will be announced at a later date. Macy’s said that the impacted stores’ real estate was more valuable to the company than the locations were as retail stores. The company did not say how many employees would be affected…
