Johns Hopkins University has named the dean of the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business as provost and senior vice president of academic affairs. Sunil Kumar, who starts the role on Sept. 1, will become the 15th provost at Hopkins. At the University of Chicago, Kumar helped raise $300 million, increased full-time women enrollment from 35 percent to 42 percent and expanded undergraduate courses.
