A Southern Maryland developer plans to build a 115-room hotel near the Johns Hopkins Bayview campus, with plans to construct a second hotel in the future nearby. The Cherry Cove Group, a Lexington Park-based developer and property manager, hopes to break ground shortly after Labor Day on a Hampton Inn and Suites on a 2.5-acre site at 6571 Eastern Ave. in East Baltimore, just blocks away from the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
