DST Systems Inc., a Kansas City company that provides technology services for the financial and health care industry, shut down its Baltimore office on Thursday as it slashed 1 percent of its workforce. The typically quiet company wouldn’t say how many people were affected by the layoffs. It did say the hardest hit was the DST Brokerage Solutions office in Baltimore.
