A local developer plans to transform a long-vacant property on downtown’s west side into a mixed-use apartment building and retail space. Mohammed Agbodjogbe, owner of real estate firm Nine Jewels, plans to invest $3.4 million into the 15,000-square-foot project at 400 N. Howard St. Agbodjogbe acquired the property for $139,000 in 2015, according to state tax records.
