Cincinnati-based retail giant Macy’s Inc. announced Wednesday that it’s closing 68 of 870 its stores, impacting more than 5,000 of its employees nationwide. Macy’s (NYSE: M) said the closings are part of the approximately 100 stores it will close by the end of 2017. The 68 stores represent 5,267 employees impacted. The low-cost carrier will offer eight daily flights from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport starting June 4, 2017. New restaurants and breweries in Maryland are resulting in more tourists and revenue for the state, according to a report released Wednesday by the Maryland Office of Tourism Development. Visitors to Maryland spent nearly $17 billion on travel expenses in 2015, up 3.5 percent from the previous year.
