Spirit Airlines will soon offer summer flights to three destinations on the West Coast out of Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport as part of a push toward seasonal travel. The airline announced Tuesday passengers will be able to travel out of BWI to Oakland, San Diego and Seattle beginning May 25. The flights are seasonal and an end date was not set. The long-awaited redevelopment of Penn Station continues to inch forward. Amtrak, the government-owned railroad, issued a request for proposals in December to the three developers vying to become the master developer for the project, spokeswoman Chelsea Kopta said this week.
