Bank of America Corp. (NYSE: BAC) beat Wall Street estimates on Friday when it reported fourth-quarter earnings. The Charlotte, N.C.-based bank reported net income of $4.7 billion, or 40 cents per share. That compares with a profit of $3.3 billion, or 27 cents per share, in the year-ago quarter. Analysts predicted BofA would earn 38 cents per share for the quarter. The bank increased revenue by 2 percent to $20 billion in the fourth quarter.
