A total of $1.4 billion is expected to be paid out in debt service over a 41-year-period for the $535 million tax increment financing package being requested by Sagamore Development Co. for its massive Port Covington project, documents released by the city’s Finance Department Friday afternoon show. Fiat Chrysler is recalling 1.1 million cars and SUVs worldwide because the gear selector makes it too easy for drivers to forget to put the vehicle in “Park” before getting out. Doing this could allow the vehicle to roll away.

It didn’t take W.R. Grace & Co. very long to pivot from spinning off assets to acquiring them. Columbia-based Grace (NYSE: GRA) said Friday it has signed an agreement to buy the assets of a polyolefin catalysts business from German chemical giant BASF. The deal includes the Lynx technology line used in polyethylene pipe and bimodal film production as well as polypropylene slurry, bulk loop, stirred gas, fluid gas and stirred bulk processes.
