The ownership group behind Maryland Live! casino in Anne Arundel County alleges that former employees “misappropriated” lists of the facility’s most coveted gamblers as they went to work for a subsidiary of competitor MGM Resorts International. The 10 permanent culinary tenants at the R. House food and drink hall are going to have a little added competition, as the planners said Tuesday a new rotating pop-up kitchen will be joining the development. The permanent stall will hold rotating chefs who can test out a new concept for between one week and two months. The space is equipped with everything the chef would need — from a gas range and oven, to fryers and a refrigerator. The chefs will be able to design a menu of three to six items…

A new report out Tuesday showed that the Baltimore area is a hotbed of activity for potential homebuyers. Redfin, a real estate data group, released its Demand Index that focuses on home-buying trends, home tours and residential purchase offers in 15 major metro markets in the U.S. The index showed that interest in home buying in the Baltimore metro area led the U.S. with rates that jumped more than 20 percent over 2015 figures.
