Nick’s Inner Harbor Seafood, a fixture in the Cross Street Market for decades, has reached an agreement to stay open past a Jan. 31 eviction date. The agreement comes after Maslan filed for a temporary restraining order on Monday seeking a stay for the pending eviction. Caves…

Seven members of the new-look Baltimore City Council voiced opposition on Thursday to a state bill that would block local jurisdictions from passing their own minimum wage laws. Councilwoman Mary Pat Clarke, who has long been a proponent of a higher minimum wage for Baltimore City residents, says the bill would undermine local governments’ authority to establish “fair minimum wage rates and workplace benefits” for their workforces. Carlyle Development Group’s proposal to build 1 Pratt Plaza, a nearly 25,000-square-foot, two-story bump-out on a half-acre parcel just outside of its Bank of America building was met with enthusiasm by the Baltimore Development Corp. board Thursday. The move ups the ante on the ongoing redevelopment of what is considered the city’s new Main Street. The city-owned property had been offered by the BDC for development in a request for proposals it posted last year, and Carlyle made the sole bid for…
