Baltimore residents and tourists can now add biking to their list of transportation options in town. The city’s new bike share program officially launched Friday with a rollout of 200 electric-assisted bikes and 20 rental stations around the city. The Maryland Science Center publicly kicked off a $7.5 million fundraising campaign Friday to support educational initiatives. Legg Mason Inc. saw its second-quarter profit increase 3 percent, a reflection of higher revenue and improved margins as a result of its acquisitions. The Baltimore money manager posted net income of $66.4 million, or 63 cents per share, in the quarter ended Sept. 30. That was up from $64.3 million, or 58 cents per share, in the year-ago quarter.
