Rosedale Federal Savings and Loan Association announced Wednesday it will to expand its reach into Towson by acquiring Midstate Community Bank. Under the deal, Rosedale Federal will gain approximately $168 million in assets, bringing its total assets to just shy of $1 billion. Rosedale ranked No. 13 in the Baltimore area with $614.2 million in deposits as of June. The bank reported $826 million in assets in a filing with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.…

The upscale retailer’s bargain outlet is opening a 32,500-square-foot store in The Shops at Canton Crossing II at 3501 Boston St. The Nordstrom Rack will be part of a 90,000-square-foot second phase of the popular Canton Crossing development, which opened in 2013 and is anchored by a Target and Harris Teeter. But the combined $75,000 donated by Plank’s Under Armour and Bisciotti’s Baltimore Ravens to the “Bake Sale for Buses” effort will allow city school students to ride Maryland Transit Administration buses for free until 8 p.m. this year.
